Patients no longer need to wear masks when entering the surgery, we request that if you have any respiratory conditions or have flu like symptoms that you wear a mask. This is for your own benefit as well as for the staff. When making an appointment the receptionist will ask if you have any cold or flu like symptoms and tell you that a mask will need to be worn.

Did Not Attend REPORT 

In May  48 patients failed to turn up for their appointments which equates to nearly 8 hours of wasted GP and Nursing hours, the press are quick to report on the lack of GP appointments so if you are unable to attend the surgery for whatever reason please can you let us know so we can add these appointments to our waiting list.

NHSE and all of us at Stock Surgery want you to have the best possible experience of care, the friends and family test is a way of gathering your feedback so we can continually review our services. Please ask at reception for a card to fill in and then please post in the designated box in the waiting room or complete online with the link above.

Confidential Patient Information

Your health records contain a type of data called confidential patient information. This data can be used to help with research and planning.  You can choose to stop your confidential patient information being used for research and planning. You can also make a choice for someone else like your children under the age of 13.  NHS Digital will never sell your data.  There are strict rules about how NHS can use your data. It's only shared securely and safely.  Shared data helps the NHS. It has been used to find the first treatment for coronavirus and for vaccine research.

If you're happy with your confidential patient information being used for research and planning you do not need to do anything.

NHS Diabetes Advice Helpline

NHS England and NHS Improvement have launched a new helpline in response to disruption to normal diabetes services due to the COVID-19 pandemic and response.

The service is for adults living with diabetes who use insulin to manage their condition and require immediate clinical advice.

Whether you or a member of your household have caught the virus, or routine care has been disrupted, the helpline is available for immediate clinical advice to help you understand how to effectively manage their diabetes.

You can access NHS Diabetes Advice via Diabetes UK's support line on 0345 123 2399 Monday - Friday from 9am-6pm.


Extended Access

GP and nurse appointments will be available in Chelmsford during the evenings and at weekends.

These appointments are offered at North Chelmsford NHS Healthcare Centre (by Sainsburys) from 6:30 - 8:00 pm Monday to Friday and from 8:00 am - 2:00 pm at weekends.

To book an appointment please speak to a reception team member.

Online Services

You can now order your repeat prescriptions, book some doctors appointments, view historic/future appointments and cancel all appointments online.  In order to do this you need to obtain a username and password from the Surgery (Photo ID required).
