If you are 13 or over and registered with a GP surgery in England, then you can use the NHS App to manage appointments.
The app lets you access lots of online medical services. For instance, ordering prescriptions, managing appointments, viewing your health record and more.
The button at the top of the page links to SystmOnline. This is a website used by patients registered with us. It can manage appointments, order repeat prescriptions and show your electronic medical record.
You can also download the new app, Airmid, which provides the same functionality. You can download it on iOS (please click here) or Android (please click here).
There are now Enhanced Access appointments available outside of our regular opening hours. The appointments are available from 18:30 to 20:00 on weekdays, and from 09:00 to 17:00 on Saturdays.
To book an Enhanced Access appointment, please call reception on 01277 289400. They will tell you which appointments are available, and who the right person to help you is.
If you need more information about Enhanced Access, please click here.
When possible, let us know before 11:00am if you need a visit. Try and state how urgent your need is so that the doctor can prioritise your call. The morning surgery is often busy and there are many home visits needed. So, we may not be able to visit you until the afternoon. Because of this, it is important that you let us know if you need urgent attention.
Either a trained paramedic or a GP may visit you. They can offer you help and perform appropriate health checks with medical equipment.
If you are able to attend the surgery, please do so. With the facilities and equipment at the surgery we can make a better assessment of your problem.
If you could get to the surgery, but are too ill to sit in the waiting room, please visit us anyway. We will arrange for the doctor to see you on arrival at the surgery.
A community nurse can also visit you at home if your GP refers you.
A health visitor should visit you instead in some situations. If you have recently had a baby, or you are newly registered with us and have a child under five years, for instance.
Please Note: This is not a replacement for emergency services. If you believe that a life-threatening emergency is occurring, then please call 999. Chest pains or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
If you cannot attend an appointment call 01277 289400 or use SystmOnline. Please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
If your appointment was made more than 24 hours in advance you can also complete our appointment cancellation notification request form (excluding weekends and public holidays). Alternatively ou can also text to cancel your appointment.
If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or call 111.
NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.
Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.
